EH&S

Our comprehensive environment and safety practices help us comply with global regulatory standards.

Environmental Care

As a responsible corporate citizen, Bharat Biotech takes a comprehensive approach to environmental sustainability. We limit our use of chemicals to as little as possible. Our manufacturing units use microbial cultures like recombinant yeast and E.coli. Apart from microbes, we also use as raw materials like sucrose, peptone, Tris Buffer, EDTA and sodium chloride.

At each stage of manufacturing, we aim to use natural resources efficiently to minimise the impact to environment from our activities. More importantly, we treat chemicals atour in-house wastewater treatment plant (120 KLD capacity) before releasing them safely. Our pre-treatment (sterilization) and HEPA filters prevent accidental release of genetically modified organisms.

Solid waste is segregated as per CPCB norms and sent to Pollution Control Board (PCB) authorized organizations such as the Hyderabad Waste Management for treatment and disposal. Our team actively monitors air and water pollution with the help of PCB authorized laboratories. We are conservative in our use of energy and use renewable sources wherever possible.

Health & Safety Care

Bharat Biotech recognizes its responsibility to promote the health and well-being of its employees. From ergonomically designed work environments to regular health check-ups, we ensure that our employees remain healthy. We also conduct awareness sessions on how they can prevent lifestyle diseases like diabetes, hypertension and heart disease.

Providing a safe working environment for our employees is a top priority. Whether it is through training, use of personal protective equipment or safe design, we ensure that they do not come to harm.
